  • Never ignore the alarm, assume it is false, or that it is just a test. 
  • Everyone should evacuate our buildings by way of the safest and closest exit and/or stairway.
  • If a co-worker needs mobility assistance and you cannot provide it, call out to others for help. 
  • Never use an elevator to exit a building during a fire alarm activation.
  • Once outside, move away from your building and assemble across the street if possible. 
  • Do not obstruct emergency vehicle access. 
  • After a building evacuation, never re-enter until you are told that it is okay to do so by Police or Fire Department personnel. 
Most importantly, try to remain calm while exiting a building and focus on assembling in a designated safe area.
