The NFTA Metro family "Goes Pink"

With over 330,000 new cases of breast cancer in the United States each year, almost everyone knows someone affected by this disease. Throughout October, internationally recognized as breast cancer awareness month, millions of people get involved with bringing awareness to this disease.

In an effort to highlight awareness and the importance of mammography and regular screenings, office employees at NFTA Metro are wearing pink on Fridays in October.  Members of our Transit Police are donning pink badges and our Airport firefighters are wearing T-shirts with the breast cancer ribbon.  We are also asking our Metro riders to #RidePink on Friday, October 11, while riding Metro bus or rail and share your photos with us through facebook and twitter!

These are just simple ways to show support for anyone affected by this disease - we hope you will join in this united front for a great cause!
