Procurement and EEO representatives from the NFTA attended the Annual MWBE Forum which was held October 1-3 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany.  This year’s Forum highlighted the state’s leadership in strengthening opportunities and providing economic empowerment prospects for minority-and women-owned businesses.

The MWBE Forum is one of the largest procurement fairs in the state. It is an annual opportunity for firms to meet the right people, identify the latest projects and business opportunities, learn what you need to know about government procurement and leverage a two-day experience into a year's worth of business success.

The Forum provided opportunities for our NFTA representatives to meet with over 50 potential vendors. Attendees also had rtunities for attendees to participate in over 40 different workshops on a range of topics including upcoming State contracts, to one-on-one meetings with other state agencies, authorities and prime contractors.

The event included four Assembly members and was extremely well-attended.
