Although the Buffalo Bills will not be playing in Superbowl LIV this year, Buffalo will still be well-represented.  Homeland security has selected two K9 teams from NFTA's TAPD to assist with security detail at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

The lucky teams include Officer Luke Whelan and K9 Liza, and Officer Dina Bigham and K-9 Eci.  As a matter of fact, they are heading down to Miami January 21.  Once there, they will join members of 50 other K9 teams and will undergo venue-specific training.  Their overall role will focus on explosive detection prior to and during the Superbowl.  Being a part of this event is a great honor and illustrates the level of experience and excellence of these law enforcement teams.

"It is wonderful to be selected for this amazing detail -- to help serve and protect Superbowl attendees and the surrounding community along with other K9 teams from across the country.  Although the Bills will not be playing in the big game, we are truly excited to represent on behalf of the TAPD and our great city, Buffalo, New York," said Officer Bigham.
