Walking can have profound effects on your physical, mental, and emotional health.

Incorporating a 30-minute walk into your daily routine can reverse the adverse effects of spending too much time sitting.

Sitting in seated position for long periods strains the body causing muscles aches. Walking helps maintain range of motion and strengthens the muscles that support your hips. Stretching the muscles and tendons that surround the joint also can help ease pain from some hip problems and reduce the risk of some injuries.

Regular exercise and walking can boost your immune system, strengthen your heart, and relieve stress leaving you more positive and energized.

It is important to remember to stay active and take 10,000 steps a day. Each extra 10 minutes you walk at a decent pace, adds about 1,000 steps or more.
