There is more great news for the Human Resources Department. Amy Hughes has been promoted to the position of Manager, Labor Relations/Professional Development. Amy’s new role will include support in arbitrations, labor agreements, grievances, and hearings in addition to her recruitment/staff development responsibilities.
Nick Kurtz has been promoted to Manager, Employment Records. Nick's role will include benefits support and compensation, data management, procurement compliance, analytics, unemployment/FMLA administration and data automation.
Ironically, both Amy and Nick are celebrating work anniversaries this month (March). Amy has worked for the NFTA for two years and Nick for six. Nick began working at the NFTA as a communications intern while he was attending Medaille College and continues to give back to the college by mentoring students on the value of participating in corporate internships.
