MetGo is the NFTA's account-based fare payment system. When a rider taps their MetGo card on a Metro Bus farebox or Metro Rail faregate, the system checks whether the card is valid. Once validated, you can board your bus or pass through the faregate to ride the rail. 

If you have an NFTA-Metro employee MetGo transit pass/card, the system will accept the tap and allow you to board a Metro bus or pass through the faregate for Metro rail.

All MetGo transit cards have been distributed to all employees to use on Metro Bus and Rail.  If you are an NFTA employee and have not received one or need more information, please contact Human Resources.
