On Monday, September 28, the Airport Firehouse team held a special retirement and farewell ceremony for Chief William Major.

The Chief spent his final official day surrounded by family, colleagues, and friends, sharing memories, laughter, and a few tears. Chief Major has dedicated 18 years to the NFTA and has served as Chief since 2017. His commitment to the Airport Fire Department, his team, and the community has made a lasting impact, and he will be greatly missed.

While we are sad to see him leave his position as Chief, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire us all. And we know he will not be far away!
