Brian Patterson, Jr. is an intern with the NFTA's Engineering team this summer. Brian is a student of the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany) and is majoring in Electrical Engineering. Being an intern at the NFTA this summer has provided Brian with a variety of valuable experience and the chance to work with great mentors. 

When asked about his internship, he said: "Being selected as an NFTA engineering intern has been an honor.  The runway enhancement project opened my eyes to civil engineering and the sensitive nature of airport related work for engineers.  I’m still amazed at how engineers and construction crews work in the same space that airplanes are landing.  Although my favorite thing about the internship has been the installation of runway lighting allowing for greater functionality. Thank you NFTA for this great opportunity."
