Thank you for your continued support for the Bailey Avenue BRT project!

We are excited to share that the construction of the first BRT station at University Station is starting soon! Construction is expected to begin on November 2 and will continue through July 2027.

During construction, some existing stops will be temporarily relocated. For Route 5 and Route 81, the buses will stop at a temporary stop approximately 15 feet east of the construction zone, while Route 19 buses will stop at the main entrance to University Station.

Due to construction, the sidewalk at the northern entrance to the bus loop will be closed. Pedestrians approaching from the park-and-ride lot will be asked to follow detour signs to the crosswalk in front of the loop to cross to the other side, using the southern entrance across from Wendy’s. Additionally, pedestrians and users of mobility devices can use the entrance at the Kiss and Ride to the southeast of the station at Hayes Road, which also has ADA parking and elevator access to the main floor and entrance of University Station. For more information on the timeline and layout at University Station during construction, check out the project website and FAQs page.

More information is available on the Bailey BRT project website.
