NFTA's Nicole Hill Speaks To Channel 4-WIVB Rep about the project

As part of the ongoing Bailey Avenue Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project, NFTA-Metro hosted a project update event in person yesterday, June 11, at 2474 Bailey Avenue. The open-style event featured display boards, renderings, feedback-gathering stations, and opportunities for direct interaction with our project team.

The Bailey Avenue BRT Project is a transformative transit initiative designed to bring faster, more reliable service to one of Buffalo’s key corridors. In addition to streamlined bus operations, dedicated lanes, transit signal priority, and upgraded stations — the project includes significant streetscape enhancements, such as safer sidewalks, improved crosswalks, and modernized infrastructure to better serve all users. Yesterday's event drew a diverse group of over 50 attendees, ranging from those who had been following the project to those hearing about it for the first time.  The comments from attendees indicated that the community is excited about the proposed improvements to our transit service and the enhancements to the pedestrian space around BRT stations.

Attendees also had the opportunity to speak with our team members about recruitment and career opportunities with the NFTA. Stay tuned for updates on future events within our community.
