BIPOC Mental Health Month is observed in July to bring awareness to the impact ongoing discrimination, oppression, and inequity have on Black and Indigenous people and other people of color. You can view this TED talk by Karl Shallowhorn, a mental health advocate, educator and speaker, titled: African American Men and Mental Health: Crisis or Opportunity. General EAP Supervisory Training
Friday, July 22 at 12pm-1pm
Training Objectives: This one-hour training, for those in a supervisory, leadership, or human resources position, offers strategies and practical information about using EAP services as a tool to manage people more effectively. Participants will learn about: What EAP services are available to supervisors and members, how to recognize signs of a distressed employee, how to have a constructive conversation about sensitive subjects, learn about the types of EAP referrals and confidentiality.
