Capt Porter Retirement Celebrate
TAPD gathers for Capt. Porter's send off

Captain Jason Porter has retired from the TAPD after 23 years of service. During his tenure he worked as a lieutenant in the airport division and as commander of downtown patrol. He is a recipient of the Lt. Randy Burgio Award and is an FBI National Academy graduate.

Captain Porter plans on starting a new career in the private sector.

He leaves our new officers with these words... "Law enforcement is very different today than it was years ago. It's important to evolve with the changes in society. Good luck and stay safe."

Congratulations Captain Porter, we thank you for your dedicated years of service.
