Today, we gathered at the MTC to raise the Puerto Rican flag and kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 to October 15. Our ceremony highlighted themes of unity, pride, and the vibrant Hispanic culture within the communities we serve.

The event featured remarks from Kim Minkel, Jose Flores (owner of the El Batey Community Center), and Mike and Marcela Hernandez. Following the flag-raising, employees enjoyed a "Taste of Hispanic Culture," prepared by Chefs Junito and Jian Dereck, co-owners of Herencia Taina. This culinary experience showcased an enticing selection of dishes, allowing guests to savor the rich and diverse flavors of Hispanic cuisine.
