March is Women's History Month, a time to honor the contributions of women past and present. Some WHM facts include:
  • In 2025, the theme is "Moving Forward Together." In 2024, the theme was "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion."
  • The colors purple, green, and white are associated with women's history because they were the colors of the Women's Suffrage and Political Union in the early 1900s.

  • Women's History Month in the United States dates back to 1857 when women protested poor working conditions in New York City factories.

  • In 1987, Congress made March National Women's History Month.

If you are working or visiting the MTC on Monday, March 3, at 2:30 p.m., please join us for a photo to recognize the achievements and contributions of all women at the NFTA.
