On March 5, NFTA's Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team at BNIA acquired a new state-of-the-art rescue truck for their fleet that includes a "minus five degree" aerial setup. This new vehicle will replace an older one that was purchased in 2004. 

This new piece of equipment allows the rescue team to navigate parts of the taxiway that were previously inaccessible. The truck will be extremely helpful in the event of an accident or incident on the taxiway embankment.  There is no other truck with these capabilities in Western New York.
