We are excited to share commendations received by our Metro Customer Service team for December. Please see below:
- Customer said they recently rode the number 5 towards University Station at around 5:00-5:30 PM from downtown. They said, "I usually don't comment about a driver but this man was so courteous and helpful not only to me but I witnessed him going above and beyond what was expected of him with an additional 3 or 4 other passengers and who knows how many after I got off at Kenmore and Delaware. This gentleman is a shining example of what the perfect driver would be. I would have thought him a very nice driver for the extra help he gave me but to then witness him going completely out of his way to help so many others completely blew me away. And may God (whomever the God he serves) richly bless him in all that he does because he is making a difference in people's lives."
- Caller stated driver was very patient and helpful with a wheelchair passenger. He was very pleased to see this behavior and wanted to commend the driver for an outstanding job.
- Customer stated driver was running 20 minutes late due to the weather. Visibility and traction were not the best; however the driver was very mindful of the weather and offered a safe commuting experience.
- Operator inbound #25 bus 0001 block at 8:50 am from Delaware and Great Arrow drives very safely in heavy traffic on icy pavement. No slipping out sliding. Took the d-curves through Delaware Park just right, not too slow, not too fast.
- Operator informed me of young lady at the bus stop at Ellicott & Huron. She was concerned about her welfare because she has been standing for hours, she was crying and looked cold. I went to the above location and saw the young lady crying and shaking. I asked did she need help she said yes. She was very cold and needed heat. I told her to (get) into the truck and turned the heat on high. She stated she was outside for 3 hours.
- Customer stated that this driver helped her so much, he carried her package and helped her cross the street, customer said this driver went the extra mile to help her. Customer is very grateful and wanted to put a good comment for this driver. Adding, God bless that was just so sweet.
- Caller said, Bus #1705, route 34 NFB at 400pm in the 700 block of NFB headed toward Kenmore Avenue. Saw a woman and child frantically waving and worried bus would miss them. He didn't. He saw them. He waited. He got them.
- Passenger stated driver stayed on route and on time even when they assisted the 77 bus and picked up passengers transferring.
- Passenger stated Driver is polite and helpful to her and elderly. He says hello as soon as you board and is a good driver.
- Customer stated Operator provides amazing customer service as a driver on the 20 Elmwood bus.
- Customer stated that the operator is "very professional, very pleasant, a real people person, perfect fit for career - a good fit for her.
- Caller stated operator was friendly and patient. A pleasant person to be around.
- Rider says Operator is an outstanding driver
