Kara Stromberg has been promoted to Superintendent of Special Services.  In her new role, she will assist with daily departmental operations and help build upon existing programs leveraging her background in safety, training, customer and employee relations, and process improvements. 

Kara has been with the NFTA for nearly ten years and most recently served as HSEQ’s Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator. She is attributed with spearheading multiple successful initiatives and projects that led to the NFTA's recognition of the American Public Transportation Association's 2019 Bus Safety and Security Award.

Kara holds dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice with minors in Public Health and Sociology.  She is very excited about the opportunity to work with and support the Paratransit community.
