As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, our dedicated Metro drivers are weathering the crisis day in and day out on the front-lines.  These are tough times, but Metro riders are grateful for their service.  Some comments from our customer calls from the month of May include the following:

  • The driver is an amazing driver, very friendly, kind, courteous, and went above and beyond to assist her.

  • I just wanted to take a moment to let the NFTA know how much I appreciate the steps they are taking to keep passengers safe on the bus and rail during this pandemic.  I was at the Allen Medical Hospital station yesterday afternoon and I heard a familiar voice calling out to people reminding them that they must have a mask to ride the train.  I was surprised to see my former bus driver on the 69 Alden working as a ticket inspector.  He was standing off to the side answering questions as people passed by and making sure that everyone had a mask.  He was very friendly but firm when people did not follow the rules and it made me feel a lot better about taking public transportation at this time.

  • The Operator allowed rider to use the front door due to his medical condition and the caller really appreciated it.

  • Caller is thankful to his driver for always being on time, being polite, and always being at work in the middle of the pandemic.  He really appreciates this driver's hard work.

We are grateful to all of our Metro constant responders for everything they are doing during these unprecedented times in serving our community and getting riders where they need to go.
