BRT
Station/Mobility Hub Fact Sheet

As we celebrate Earth Week, we are highlighting our Bailey Avenue Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project. This transit improvement initiative will deliver efficient, high-frequency bus service to one of the NFTA’s busiest routes, Route 19, which runs along Bailey Avenue and transports approximately 798,000 riders annually.

The Bailey Ave BRT corridor is 7.5 miles long from University Station in the north to South Park Avenue in the south. The Bailey Avenue BRT will stop at 13 key intersections that serve as transfer points for other major NFTA-Metro routes. The BRT also includes stations and mobility hubs at those 13 intersections that make for a more comfortable passenger experience (Station/Mobility Hub fact sheet).”

This project will also introduce special treatments that enable the BRT service to operate. The treatments include transit priority features such as queue jumps, transit signal priority, and bus-only lanes (TSP fact sheet).
