The final Honor Flight of 2026 took place on October 10–11, transporting more than 90 veterans to Washington, D.C., for a special trip honoring their service and sacrifices. The departure from Buffalo Niagara International Airport featured a police escort, wheelchair assistance, a TSA-supported security process, and a water cannon salute from the ARFF team. 

Upon their return to Buffalo (October 11), the veterans were welcomed home with an Honor Guard, bagpipers representing each branch of service, and family members and guests who gathered to celebrate their contributions. This event provided NFTA Aviation and its partners a meaningful opportunity to show appreciation for our veterans and to offer a memorable send-off and welcome home.
