This week, teams from Metro Rail and HSEQ participated in a training/emergency exercise with The Buffalo Fire Department.  The trainings occurred along Metro Rail at Allen Medical, Delavan/Canisius College, and University Stations.  Topics covered included standpipe locations, fire management panel locations, fire systems explained, communications and radio systems, high voltage safety protocol, elevator entrapments, emergency egress, and tunnel ventilation systems. 

Metro Rail's Frank Fowler helped coordinate the trainings and worked in conjunction with our Transit Police and Buffalo Fire. The trainings were very well-received. Our teams will also be involved with similar events later this month and into April. Stay tuned.
