Metro participated in Buffalo's 44th annual Juneteenth Festival this weekend, June 15-16, at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.  This was the first community engagement initiative  that included Metro's new community/training bus. The bus was well-received by hundreds of visitors that stopped by to take surveys and talk with staff about the benefits of using public transit.

Metro also had a trolley bus and paratransit van in the parade along with Metro employees who marched alongside the vehicles.  The festival included vendors, dancing, and stages featuring arts and cultural activities. Juneteenth is an extraordinary celebration of African American heritage, and the Metro team was excited to be a part of it.
