Misael (Mike) Hernandez has been promoted to Metro’s Supervisor of Customer Relations. In this role, Mike will oversee and assist the customer service team with customer inquiries, commendations, resolve issues/complaints, and manage general customer-centric operations.

Mike brings with him comprehensive experience from his 17 years working with the NFTA. He began his journey as a part-time bus operator, paratransit operator, and “big bus” operator, where he advanced his knowledge of Metro's transit systems and customer engagement capabilities. With a thorough knowledge of Metro operations and a background in finance, he moved into a Metro Accounting role in the Finance and Administration Department where he worked for 12 years.

Mike holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Canisius College, where he focused on transportation, logistics, and international business, and a Bachelor of Business degree from Medaille College. Mike is active within WNY's Puerto Rican and Hispanic communities and is the Vice-President and Executive Committee member of the Board of Directors for The Belle Center, serving Buffalo’s West Side.
