During Women's History Month, we have been recognizing the outstanding contributions of women across the Authority.
Omar Campuzano, Senior Transportation Planner and U.S. Army Sergeant, is very proud to recognize Metro's Service Planning Manager, Nadine Chalmers, with the Patriotic Employer Award. This Award is provided by the U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. It recognizes the efforts of employers and direct supervisors for their support through a wide range of measures, including remaining flexible with citizen warrior work schedules in alignment with their service schedules.
On Tuesday, March 12, Omar Campuzano presented the Patriotic Employer Award to Nadine Chalmers with the following sentiment:
"In December, I nominated Nadine Chalmers, Manager of our Service Planning Department, for the outstanding support she has provided to me, an active member of the Army Reserve. I nominated Nadine for remaining flexible with my work schedule, for providing me an opportunity to excel at my job at the NFTA, and for supporting my Army Career. Nadine's advocacy has allowed me to remain mission-focused while performing my assigned duties in the Army Reserve. In return, I serve as a proficient leader to my soldiers, while developing my subordinates and peers alike, and achieving my Unit's goals.
On behalf of the 250th Transportation Company, the United States Army Reserve Command, the Department of Defense, and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, I am thrilled to present Nadine Chalmers with the Patriotic Employer Award. Thank you for all that you do.”
Patriotic Employer Awards are awarded by the ESGR State Committee and provided to individual supervisors with an Award Certificate and lapel pin. For more information, you can visit Esgr.mil/Employer-Awards/Patriot-Award.
We hope you will join in congratulating Nadine Chalmers on this great honor.
