The NFTA Climb Team stepped out to Seneca Tower on Saturday, March 23, to participate in the American Lung Association's 2024 Buffalo Air Climb. The event is held annually to raise awareness and funds to help fight lung disease. 

Our NFTA team raised $4,797.51 and ranked as the 4th largest corporate fundraiser. There were over 500 participants, and our NFTA steppers did exceptionally well.

Team highlights include: 

  • Nadine Chalmers ranked #1 women climber and ranked 5th overall (4:47)
  • ARFF's Jessica Meldrum ranked 3rd fastest-woman firefighter, climbing in full gear (9:54)  
  • John Murphy ranked 8th overall (5:01)
  • Brian McDonald ranked 11th overall (5:13)
  • Bruce Izard (5:54)
  • Jerry Rott (7:28)
  • Mike Ruppersberg (7:28)
  • Tina Hutchins (8:08)
  • Rachel Maloney (9:01)
  • Omar Campuzano climbed with a weighted backpack (12:34)
