NFTA employees and their families had a fantastic time at Sahlen Field on June 16 for this year's NFTA Night at the Ballpark! The Buffalo Bisons faced off against the Charlotte Knights, and we couldn't have asked for a better evening.

The night began with Dejuan Hardy throwing out a ceremonial first pitch. Before the game, our TAPD Honor Guard presented the colors, and John Fenz delivered a remarkable performance of both the American and Canadian national anthems, with his son by his side. Marissa Mauro’s daughters, Milani and Melia, shouted, “3-2-1 Play Ball,” and the game got underway.

Some friendly competition also took place later in the game in our Metro Bus Race, featuring Pete Vincent and Sheila Keane against Andrew Hartzell and Kathryn Wirtanen. The race was extremely close until the very end, where Andrew and Kathryn ultimately claimed victory. As a surprise bonus, Sheila won a "Seat of the Game" and a special prize.

We recognized two birthdays for this week on the Bisons' special Birthday Board: Jennifer Rott (June 15), wife of Jerry Rott, and Mackenzie Murphy (June 18), wife of Sean Murphy.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the game. It was a fun-filled evening with baseball, Irish Night festivities, and postgame fireworks. You can see highlights of our NFTA team here. We can't wait for next year!
