On October 1, the NFTA celebrated the opening of the new DL&W Sky Deck. The event featured remarks from our Executive Director, Kim Minkel, along with contributions from community officials. It concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the Sky Deck. This exciting transformation turns the historic DL&W building into a beautiful public space, bridging Buffalo’s rich history with its promising future.

The opening also marks a significant milestone for our community. What better way to celebrate than by inviting the public to join us? On Saturday, October 3, the Sky Deck will host a special (free) hockey-themed Rooftop Rally from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is an incredible opportunity for everyone to enjoy elevated views of Buffalo’s waterfront and experience this unique destination.

We’re thrilled to be part of such an exciting development that honors our past while opening up new possibilities for our future! Be sure to spread the word and invite friends and family to join us this Saturday.
