Celebrating History and Inspiration

On Saturday, March 8 (International Women's Day), we unveiled our Women's History Bus at the Airport Firehouse. The event brought together Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes, Bonnie Lockwood, Regional Director of WNY; Sheri Scavone, CEO of the Women's History Foundation; and NFTA officials to commemorate the achievements of women who have made a lasting impact in Western New York and beyond.

“We are thrilled to honor the everyday women who shape our history and continue to inspire future generations,” said Kim Minkel. “This allows us to highlight their stories in a creative and impactful way while celebrating the strength and resilience of women in our community.”

The eye-catching bus wrap pays tribute to an array of female figures, blending vibrant artwork to spark conversation and reflection throughout March. In addition to the bus wrap, NFTA will showcase stories of local women leaders, innovators, and trailblazers on social media.

As our new Women's History Bus travels throughout the region, it will serve as a powerful reminder of the invaluable contributions women have made to society. #MovingForwardTogether.
