Our Buffalo Airport Fire Department is actively recruiting qualified candidates to join our Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting team at the Buffalo Airport. Our Airport firefighters play a critical role in ensuring the safety of the traveling public, airport employees, and aircraft operations. In addition to responding to aircraft emergencies, ARFF firefighters are highly trained professionals who provide fire suppression, emergency medical service, rescue operations, and standby aircraft protection.

“We are looking for dedicated professionals who are ready to serve at Western New York’s most important transportation gateways,” says Fire Chief Bill Major. “Our airport firefighters are highly skilled, highly trained, and essential to maintaining the safety and security of millions of passengers each year.”
