Our Transit Police have moved into their new offices at the MTC. This enhanced space offers several advantages over the former location just a few feet away. 

These include: 

• The new viewing area will afford the officers a great live view of most activities in the MTC.  The windows are large and will serve as a deterrent to criminal activity.   
  
  
• There is an enlarged arrest/processing area that will allow the officers to safely detain arrestees and complete the necessary paperwork for ongoing arrests or investigations.  
  
  
• The rear "office" area will allow the officers to conduct work privately but continue monitoring for illegal activity.  The area contains a bathroom and changing room that will enable the officers to prepare for work.   
  
  
• The area will allow other patrol units to stop at the MTC Office to complete paperwork or other tasks, and give the area additional presence at high-traffic business time.  

The former TAPD office will be evaluated for potential retail opportunities in the future.
