Our Transit Police are teaming up with Carrubba’s Chicken Pit to host a chicken dinner fundraiser on Friday, May 16, at 485 Cayuga Road. The fundraiser will support the TAPD's participation in the 2025 Buffalo Bowl to benefit Special Olympics NY.
"This fundraiser is about more than dinner and a game of flag football," said NFTA Police Chief Brian Patterson. "It's about giving back, breaking barriers, and recognizing the importance of inclusion for one of our most vulnerable populations."
- When: Friday, May 16, noon until sold out
- Where: 485 Cayuga Rd., Cheektowaga
- Cost & Details: $15 per dinner includes Carrubba’s BBQ Chicken, creamy coleslaw, buttered spuds, and a garlic butter dinner roll.
- Tickets can be purchased by cash or check through the following: Kimberly Trammell (TAPD), Lisa Piecki (Public Affairs), Dave Masi (Creative Services), and Jessica LaFalce (Buffalo Airport).
Tickets for pre-orders must be purchased by May 15. NFTA locations with dinner orders of 10 or more are eligible for delivery on May 16.
If you did not sign up for delivery, you can pick up your chicken dinner by showing your ticket(s) at 485 Cayuga by 3:30 p.m. (May 16). You can also purchase dinners on-site with cash, check, or credit card until they are sold out.
If you would like to VOLUNTEER to help on May 16, please email Lisa.Piecki@nfta.com. We are looking for 1-2 people at the MTC and 6-8 people on site.
Donations and tips are welcome and will benefit the Special Olympics NY.
