Today we are paying tribute to NFTA-Metro’s Darnell Barton. 10 years ago, while on duty, the former Frontier Bus Operator saved the life of a distressed woman. His heroic actions made news across the world.

In talking with Darnell about that fateful day and how it has impacted his life, he said: “The fact that my story has inspired so many others is what I’m thankful for the most in these past 10 years. I’ve flown all over the country. I’ve been on game shows, and I’m so grateful for those opportunities. But, those intangible things and the stories of those helped by helping that one woman is what I value the most,” said Darnell.
