"Pride is a perfect word for the world's celebration of LGBTQ individuals. As a proud LGBTQ mom, I am elated that my child is fearless and confident in being who they are.  I am also grateful they have helped others embrace their LGBTQ identities.  Pride would not be possible without past supporters, who bravely paved the way for equality and tolerance.

There remains, however, a continued need for LGBTQ understanding, acceptance, and equality. My child and many others endured unnecessary shame and ridicule even before they were mature enough to stand up for themselves.  Let's ensure the current and future LGBTG generations feel supported,  honored, and loved, free from judgment and discrimination, and deeply loved."
