Rachel Maloney Joyner, NFTA's Manager, Bus & Special Service Operations, has been appointed Buffalo Leadership Chair for the American Lung Association. Rachel began her leadership role with the ALA as the Fight For Air Climb Co-Committee Chair in 2018 and was appointed to the Board in 2020.
Rachel's oversight of the Fight For Air Climb has had an amazing positive impact. She has opened doors to critical venue changes and brought the event back after Covid in a reimagined way in 2021 at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
Under Rachel's leadership, the Climb has grown over $75,000 in annual revenue. Rachel motivates and activates board committee members and continues to build and source a significant network to help drive fundraising and provide valuable event experiences for the organization.
Rachel has consistently met the criteria for board service, including successfully participating on one (or more) of our board committees. She has met and exceeded the give/get by making personally meaningful contributions and connecting the Fight For Air Climb board and team with her network to enhance investments in the mission.
She will serve a two-year term as Board Chair with immediate goals to build the board by recruiting new members and re-engaging existing members with in-person meetings and events.
Congratulations Rachel, on this great achievement.
