As we recognize National Safety Month this June, Week 2 puts a spotlight on Road Safety, a responsibility we all share. Every year, preventable crashes impact thousands of lives, and the simplest habits often make the biggest difference. Buckling up, following posted speed limits, and avoiding distractions like texting behind the wheel remain essential.

This week, we’re emphasizing two critical behaviors:

  • Be patient and share the road. Rushing, tailgating, and aggressive driving put everyone at risk. Give other drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians the space and time they need.
  • Navigate cautiously in work zones. Slow down, stay alert, and follow all signage and flagger instructions. Work zones can change quickly, and crews rely on drivers to move through these areas with care.

Being a responsible driver protects you, your passengers, and everyone who shares the road with us. Together, we can create safer streets and safer outcomes.
