National Workaholics Day is celebrated on July 5. This day is a good reminder about the importance of balance between our home and work lives.
Workaholics tend to put work above all else, including family, friends, and their own physical and mental health. As a result, these areas of their lives are negatively affected.
Workaholics can benefit by learning the 80/20 rule- how 20% of what they do can achieve 80% impact when they align their actions to their goals. To achieve this alignment, 20 minutes of mediation a day is recommended to help workaholics relax and become more clear-headed. As they begin to make more mindful choices, they let go of over overexerting themselves.
On National Workaholics Day, we are reminded to take care of ourselves both inside and outside of work.
