At 1:13 Saturday morning, the Buffalo River shoreline (12 feet by 200 feet) at the east end of the DL and W Station collapsed. The incident did not have an impact on our operations, and the shoreline area has been closed to the public for several months for unrelated project work that was out of the area of the incident. Barriers and safety measures are in place. A marine contractor has been retained and has started an underwater investigation. No word on the cause or cost to repair the shoreline. We are currently coordinating efforts with the United States Coast Guard, the Buffalo District of the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Buffalo.
