Snyder Firefighters recently participated in a series of drills with the Buffalo International Fire Department to train on mutual aid response to the Airport. Crews utilized "Ginger," the training plane, in a hands-on drill and simulated a crash-fire-rescue response.

Snyder firefighters worked with the Airport firefighters to search the synthetic smoke-filled cabin of the plane and stabilization of the landing gear, victim removal, and placing handlines in the storage hold of the aircraft.

The opportunity followed the previous week's introduction drill to airport operations.  Airport Assistant Chief Strom and the BNIA FD hosted this training and shared their knowledge among the Snyder team.
