Congratulations to Courtney Crosby, recipient of the 2026 Black Achievers Award, presented on October 2 at the 54th Annual Black Achievers Awards Gala in Buffalo.
Courtney has dedicated 15 years to the NFTA, holding positions as a Bus Operator, Customer Relations Specialist, and Senior Clerk in Adjudication. Driven by her passion for community service and a desire to advance her career, she made a significant transition last year. She passed the TAPD exam, completed the Niagara County Police Academy, and became a Transit Police Officer in 2025.
Outside of work, Courtney is a proud mother to her 24‑year‑old son, Mekhi, and remains active in community outreach, mentoring youth, and volunteering at local events. Her journey from operations to police officer reflects her dedication to growth and her commitment to making a meaningful impact in our community. Her achievements inspire others and make her a deserving honoree of this esteemed award.
