The NFTA's Transit Police Emergency Response Team participated in an emergency drill at the new Jacobs Medical School at the University of Buffalo.  The event was coordinated by UB’s emergency management department, in collaboration with local, state, and federal emergency responders.

The full-scale exercise was implemented to help ensure coordinated, timely and effective response and recovery to a campus crisis.  An innovative feature of the drill was the collaboration between multiple agencies and execution of a coordinated public information strategy during an emergency.

The exercise simulated activation of the university’s overall crisis response plan and helped assess coordination of on-scene resource management.
