It's a great time for two Metro employees and brothers, Roosevelt and Damien Mitchell, who have been promoted to Metro Rail Controllers.

The Mitchell Brothers have a great story to tell.  Since joining the company 10 years ago, they have enjoyed careers filled with fast-track growth and promotion. Their experiences are wide-ranging, including achieving their CDLs and working in tandem for Paratransit (1 yr), Cold Spring Big Bus (3 yrs), and Metro Rail Operations (6 yrs).   

When talking to the Mitchells, they will enthusiastically tell you that the support from leadership and their peers has significantly impacted where they are today -- both personally and professionally.

"We have had the great fortune of learning from the best while continuously enhancing our skills to move up within the company,” said Roosevelt.   

“This is a great organization to work for, and we are excited about this new opportunity," added Damien.  

This is also a win-win from the operations side. 

"The Mitchell Brothers have been working in various areas throughout Metro over the years, and I was hoping they would become part of our OCC team one day. I am thrilled to have them on board and look forward to great things ahead," said Billy Lobuzzetta, Transportation Services Superintendent.
