We brought some "sunshine" to a rainy morning in Buffalo at a press conference held at NFTA headquarters, where we officially launched our beautiful new 2023 Parks Adventure Bus, designed by Public Affairs Caitlin Klein.

We are thrilled to return the FREE service for a second year thanks to partnerships with Senator Tim Kennedy, the NYS Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, the Erie County Parks Department, and the Department of Environmental Conservation.

WNY has many beautiful outdoor spaces, and this program will provide riders with much-needed access to some of its best recreation destinations. In 2022, the Parks Adventure Bus connected more than 550 Western New Yorkers to area parks.

The 2023 service will begin June 17 and run every Saturday through August 5, with a possible make-up day on Saturday, August 12.

Parks served include:

  • Knox Farm State Park
  • Chestnut Ridge Park
  • Fort Niagara State Park
  • Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve
  • Como Lake Park
  • Beaver Island State Park
  • Akron Falls Park
  • Evangola State Park
  • Emery County Park
