Celebrate the 4th of July safely!

Recommendations:

  • Keep fireworks away from children
  • Try safer options such as glow sticks, streamers, and confetti poppers
Additional Tips:
  • If using fireworks, keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby
  • Sparklers burn at more than 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, which is hot enough to cause third-degree burns
  • Do not try to relight or handle malfunctioning fireworks
  • Soak both spent and unused fireworks in water for a few hours before discarding
  • Seek immediate professional medical attention if/as needed
