In light of the ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States yesterday, January 13, 2022, concerning the OSHA ETS rule mandating weekly testing for individuals unvaccinated against COVID-19, as well as other court rulings staying enforcement of vaccination requirements for federal contractors, the NFTA will pause the full implementation of its Metro COVID-19 Policy and its Mandatory COVID-19 Policy, except where it has been agreed to.  The pause of these policies is subject to change as may be required by any applicable order, law, regulation or other requirements of the NFTA.

While the NFTA has paused its policies on vaccination, the NFTA wants all its employees to be aware that we support vaccination against COVID-19.  Vaccines are effective and are shown to reduce the presence and severity of COVID-19.

To recognize the importance of vaccination, and to encourage all employees who are not vaccinated to become fully vaccinated, the NFTA is offering employees who currently are OR become fully vaccinated (booster not required) by March 4, 2022 (shown by proof provided to Human Resources) a single 8-hour floater day for use on or before December 31, 2022. To record this on your timecard, you must use a one-time pay code provided by your manager.

This incentive is available only to individuals who are not covered by any COVID-19 Policy.
