The Buffalo Airport welcomed a special local veteran, Leonard Gaj, 98, of West Seneca, a WWII Combat Veteran and German POW from New Orleans.

Known as "Airborne Lenny," he kept a secret diary documenting his experience from D-Day through his 11 months as a POW.  The Gary Sinise Foundation flew Gaj and his family to The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, where the original copy of his diary has been entered into their collection.

Mr. Gaj is one of just over 150,000 WWII veterans who are still alive today.
