With the help of Senator Timothy M. Kennedy’s office, NFTA Metro has teamed up with the Buffalo Board of Education and the Buffalo Peacemakers to deliver meals to students’ homes during the COVID pandemic. Metro’s Paratransit Access Line vans normally transport individuals with disabilities to jobs, school or medical appointments. Current stay-at-home orders have freed up some time in the usually full PAL schedules. Metro is putting it to good use.

NFTA-Metro will deliver in excess of 150 meals every weekday for as long as needed, and is proud to serve the community in whatever new ways this crisis demands.  For more information, see our News Release.
