On Monday, April 8, 2024, the moon's shadow will pass across the US, making a line from central Mexico to New England. This time, the central part of the moon’s shadow (the umbra) will pass right over Buffalo, bringing us a TOTAL solar eclipse—complete darkness. April 8, 2024, is going to be a big deal, and we will have a great opportunity to experience something very unique.

Proper safety precautions are important during the Eclipse, so that the experience is a good one. To help, the NFTA's HSEQ department will be providing solar eclipse glasses to all employees. Distribution started this week, and you will receive your glasses from your manager by the end of the week.

Please stay tuned as we will provide various updates regarding this big event. If you would like to know more about the Eclipse, please visit https://buffaloeclipse.org/science/

Employees can also visit Keep An Eye Out For Your Eclipse Glasses  for viewing tips.
