Please welcome Geraldine Ford, the new Manager of Diversity Certification and EEO Compliance at the NFTA. She brings more than a decade of leadership in public-sector compliance, diversity program administration, and regulatory oversight. Before joining the NFTA, Geraldine was the Director of Urban Affairs for the City of Buffalo, where she led citywide initiatives on equity, climate resilience, and infrastructure investment. She previously served as Director of Contractor and Supplier Diversity at Empire State Development, overseeing statewide procurement, compliance, and minority and women-owned business (M/WBE) participation across major public projects.
A Buffalo native and U.S. Army veteran, Geraldine’s career spans executive roles in government, economic development, and legislative affairs. She has built a reputation for advancing equitable contracting, guiding policy, and empowering underrepresented businesses to access public opportunities. Geraldine also teaches entrepreneurship, economics, and Introduction to Human Resource Management as an adjunct instructor, sharing her expertise with the next generation of leaders.
She holds an MBA from Medaille College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from D’Youville College. Outside of work, Geraldine is an active community advocate and the proud mother of two children.
