Please join in welcoming our new TAPD Deputy Police Chief Patrick Weidel. Patrick has been in law enforcement for 35 years, 34 of those years with the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, retiring in January of 2022 at the rank of Chief Deputy.  He served as a Patrol Deputy, DARE Officer, Criminal Investigator, Patrol Captain and Administrative Captain before being promoted to his final rank in 2017. 

Patrick indicated that he is strongly suited for administrative work as he loves organization, order, and consistency. One of his main focuses at the TAPD will be working on Law Enforcement Accreditation.

Patrick resides in Lockport with his wife of 35 years, Jean, and they have 7 children (4 still at home).  He also has two grandchildren.
